WHO WE ARE
ABout the GSS

The GSS is the student society and governing organization of all graduate students at Simon Fraser University. We represent over 4,000 students in 38 academic programs at SFU’s Burnaby, Surrey and Vancouver campuses. The GSS was born in July 2007, a few months after a successful referendum confirmed the creation of a new student society, independent from the SFSS, to represent graduate students.

OUR MISSION

The Graduate Student Society at Simon Fraser University is a dynamic, member-driven organization that supports graduate students to achieve their personal, professional, and academic goals at SFU and beyond. The Society is committed to receptive stewardship in order to provide relevant representation, advocacy, and services to our membership.
