Acceptable External Confirmation documents include: Scholarship Award Letters, TA/RA Contracts, or Paycheque stubs. We cannot accept zero income, you must provide proof of funds.

If you use a CRA Notice of Assessment, it must provide proof of all income/funds. We cannot accept it as a standalone External Confirmation document if it does not provide sufficient proof of your funds.

Notification of results usually occurs within one month of the deadline.

Important to Note: Please note that In-person cheque pick-up is highly recommended. Due to the high incidence of lost cheques, student cheques will no longer be delivered to SFU department offices. If replacement of a lost cheque is required, $25 will be deducted from the requested cheque amount, or the recipient may elect to wait until the last cheque is stale-dated (6 months from cheque date). Cheques may take up to 2 weeks by mail to home addresses.
