Burnaby Specific Services
Our main office is located in MBC 2203 on the Burnaby Campus (right near the bookstore). We are open Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm (check the home page for office closures).
World Famous GSS Free Coffee & Tea Service
Okay, it may not be world famous, but graduate students love stopping by the GSS Lounge for free coffee and tea, all day, almost every day! Bring your travel mug (we do not have any paper/styrofoam cups)! The GSS is proud to offer fair-trade organic coffee, and local organic dairy/non-dairy products.
Coffee service starts at around 9:00 AM and ends at around 3:30 PM every day that we are open. From time to time this service may not be available due to re-stocking, staff being busy, supply shortage, or other unexpected situations.
Free Meeting & Social Space
Need a meeting room? Have a social event you’d like to host in the GSS Lounge? Grad students can book either of our rooms for Caucus events free of charge!
The GSS Boardroom fits up to 16 people. The boardroom has a projection screen and a large whiteboard.
The GSS Lounge capacity is about 35 people seated, 70 people standing. It has couches, chairs, small tables and a great view. The Lounge also has a projection screen. (Note: The GSS is not a licensed venue, meaning a Special Occasion License is required to host events with alcohol in that space; see instructions below.)
