*New GSS Website: We are excited to announce that GSS has launched our brand new website on June 16th. It will be the same website address but with a much more interactive surface and user-friendly functions. Make sure you check it out HERE! If you see any technical issues, please contact student-life@sfugradsociety.ca and we will have it fixed as soon as possible.
GSS Family Subsidy: If you have a dependent (child under 22) or are taking care of an elderly relative that lives in the same household as you, you may be eligible to apply for the GSS Family Subsidy! We are still accepting applications on a rolling basis and you can find more information about the program (including how to apply) Here!
GSS-SFSS shared agreement services – Announcement
The Legal Clinic, the Women’s Centre, and Out On Campus are some of the services offered by SFSS and that all GSSS students have equal access to because of the renewal of our agreement. You can view the updated draft version of the agreement HERE
π¦GSS Timeout Movie Night: Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)
Join the GSS Movie Night on June 25th @ 5:30 PM! Movie night is a great way to spend time with your friends. Even though we’re still practicing social distancing, thereβs no reason to put our movie night on hold. You and your friends can all watch the same movie in your own homes with popcorn and drinks, laugh as loud as you want while chatting in the chatbox. Details of the event can be found HERE. Scientific QUEERies- LGBTQ2S+ Student talk days: Are you an LGBTQ2S+ graduate student in STEM? Do you want to share your research with other queer scientists? Do you want a safe place to practice conference talks, pitch findings, or get feedback from LGBTQ2S+ professors and your peers in a safe setting? Present with us! Sign Up HERE.
June 15th- Finished Products: highlight your polished work in a 15 min conference-style format
July 13th, and August 24th- Safe Spaces:Β pitch projects, practice presentations, or preview products. Creating a safe place for LGBTQ2S+ students to practice their presenting skills, and get feedback from their peers and a LGBTQ2S+ guest professor, in a non-judgemental format.
