Active bystander Campaign: The Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office (SVSPO) is leading a campaign on active bystander intervention from November 1-12. The #ItTakesAllOfUs SFU campaign aims to empower SFU community members to recognize and respond to harm when we witness it  Learn more about the campaign HERE Follow @sfu.svspo on Facebook or Instagram to learn more about how you can be an active bystander.
Customized workshops at SVSPO:  Did you know that SFU’s Sexual Violence & Prevention Office (SVSPO) offers customized workshops for graduate students and Teaching Assistants? We would like to invite you to consider offering a workshop on Responding to Disclosures of Sexual Violence or Bystander Intervention for your student Caucus, as an opportunity for professional and personal development.  The SVSPO’s education team will work with you to tailor these standard workshops to existing PD opportunities or engaging programs.

Grad students with disabilities who study Computer Science or Computer Engineering are encouraged to apply for the Google Lime Scholarship, valued at US$5000. Apply by December 12th, 2021. Find more information HERE.
The GSS is hiring Administrative Assistants! The Administrative Assistant works directly with the Executive Director and members of the Executive Committee to provide logistical and administrative support to the GSS and our members. They are expected to work collaboratively and communicate with their fellow administrative assistant to ensure that all tasks are performed as efficiently as possible.
Applicants must be enrolled as graduate students at SFU. Please submit your application using our online form HERE by November 22, 2021, at 11:59 pm. Applications will be reviewed starting November 15, 2021. The full job description may be found on the form.
Tap in to Win: The TransLink “Tap In to Win” Sweepstakes is being launched now and will run for five months to thank customers, help boost economic recovery in the region and rebuild transit ridership. For every transit trip a customer takes tapping in with their registered Compass card, they will be entered into the monthly TransLink Sweepstakes.
