Hello, Graduate Students!
The GSS is holding its 2026 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, February 24, at 5:00 pm. This year’s meeting will be held in a hybrid fashion:
In-person: SFU Burnaby Campus – AQ3153
Online: A Zoom link will be sent to anyone who signs up at least 2 hours before the meeting.
The meeting is open to all members in good standing of the Society, typically those who have paid the GSS fee, and is one of the most important events of the year for the GSS’s general membership. All members with an SFU email account and verified student ID number may join us online via Zoom but should RSVP at least two hours before the meeting. We will try to include anyone who filled out the RSVP late, but we may not be able to verify the information in time for the meeting. Due to room capacity at SFU, a maximum of 100 members can attend in person. Unfortunately, due to SFU and fire marshal regulations, we cannot make any exceptions in this matter.

Be It Resolved That the assembled GSS members provide Gary Chun (auditor of Tompkins Wozny LLP), Harjap Grewal (GSS Advocate and Policy Advisor) and Abhishek Nanjundappa (GSS Executive Director) with speaking privileges at the February 24, 2026, Annual General Meeting of the Graduate Student Society. - Reception of the audited Financial Statements for 2024 – 2025 and auditor’s report
