Last week, the BC Ministry of Transportation announced that the U-Pass BC Program will be renewed for the next five years. This followed successful student referendums held by colleges and universities across the Lower Mainland, including SFU.
The U-Pass provides reliable access to regional transportation at a price graduate students can afford, and the ease of using the program to meet travel needs means busy students have one less thing to worry about. We at the GSS are happy this program is being extended to 2025, and encourage our members to help the environment and take advantage of the U-Pass and public transit whenever possible.
